Athletes from Renton’s four high schools are competing in the 2015 Track and Field State Tournament at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma through Saturday.
The tournaments began Thursday afternoon and the last events, the girls relays, begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The schools, Lindbergh, Renton, Liberty and Hazen, placed well in the district tournaments last weekend.

The Lindbergh boys placed third out of 19 teams at the 2A district tournament in Belfair with 60 points. Liberty placed sixth with 42 points and Renton tied for 12th with 23 points.
The Liberty girls won the district tournament with 86 points. The Lindbergh girls placed fifth with 52 points and Renton was eighth with 42 points.
In the 3A district tournament last weekend in Sumner, the Hazen girls finished sixth out of 19 teams with 54 points and the Hazen boys finished 18th out of 21 teams with 16 points.
