CORRECTION: This story has been corrected. Twenty-nine days was the median for Renton homes on the market in February.

Renton homes sold faster and for more money in February, according to a recent report published by a Seattle-based real estate company.

Redfin reports that Renton homes sold 25 percent faster, with the median days on the market being 29 days in February. The median home price was $275,000 and prices were up 2.8 percent, according to numbers compiled by Redfin.

“Meanwhile, Redfin clients’ growth in demand for home tours and offers was sluggish compared to the frenzy that had already taken off this time last year,” said Kafia Hosh, Redfin spokesperson in an email. “For the Puget Sound area, the big sting is both decreasing affordability and a lack of inventory.”
