Interstate 405 lane closures planned

Construction crews will close several lanes of Interstate 405 in Renton this weekend. During the closures, crews will retrofit the Northeast 44th Street overpass to meet current seismic standards and to better withstand earthquakes.

Construction crews will close several lanes of Interstate 405 in Renton this weekend. During the closures, crews will retrofit the Northeast 44th Street overpass to meet current seismic standards and to better withstand earthquakes.

• Through Monday: Crews will close the southbound I-405 carpool lane at NE 44th Street from Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

• Friday and Today (Saturday): Crews will close the northbound I-405 carpool lane at Northeast 44th Street from Friday at 8 p.m. to Saturday at 8 p.m.

•Today and Sunday: Crews will close the right lane of northbound I-405 at NE 44th Street from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 10 a.m.

• Sunday through Monday morning: Crews will close the northbound I-405 carpool lane at Northeast 44th Street from Sunday at 8 p.m. and to Monday at 5 a.m.
