The Hazen boys basketball team lost to Auburn Mountainview 44-40 in a sub-district game Thursday night.

The Highlanders (10-11) were outscored by four points in each of the final two quarters. Individual stats for the game were not reported.

Hazen takes on Bonney Lake (9-11) in a loser-out game Saturday at Lakes High school at 6 p.m. If the Highlanders win, they earn the fifth seed to districts and will play Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at Clover Park High School.
