Lindbergh led the way for Renton schools at the West Central District 2A swim and dive meet Nov. 4-5 at the Hazen pool.
The Eagles came in seventh with 77 points. Renton followed in 11th with 38 points.
Swimmers/relays that advanced to the finals:
Lindbergh’s 200-yard medley relay (Erica Garl, Chelsey Guhlke, Abby Chufar and Kaitlin Zinsli) placed sixth.
Renton’s team (Tonie Canlas, Angela Vu, Sum Yee Lee and Jordan Mattheisen) finished 10th.
Zinsli finished second in the 50 free. Renton’s Lynhda Vuong took 10th in the event.
Lindbergh’s Amanda Miller took third in the one-meter dive.
Chufar finished 11th in the 100 fly.
Zinsli placed fifth in the 100 free, while Vuong took sixth in the event. Mattheisen placed ninth.
Renton’s 200-free relay (Yee Lee, Vu, Mattheisen and Vuong) took ninth. Lindbergh’s team (Bailey Faull, Brenna Healy, Jane Tibbitts and Guhlke) placed 12th.
Garl finished 12th in the 100 back. Guhlke took 12th in the 100 breast.
Lindbergh (Chufar, Faull, Miller and Zinsli) took sixth in the 400-free relay. Renton (Yee Lee, Vu, Mattheisen and Vuong) placed ninth.
Advancing to state for Lindbergh:
200 medley relay, Kaitlin Zinsli (50 free, 100 free), Amanda Miller (dive), and 400 free relay.
Advancing to state for Renton:
Lynhda Vuong (100 free) and 400 free relay.
