The election is quickly approaching and voters will be asked to cast their ballot for a number of candidates and initiatives.
Often, voters fail to cast their ballot in judicial races. This election we have an opportunity to elect a judicial candidate that has NOT accepted any funding from special interest groups or out-of-state monies for his campaign. That candidate is David Tracy. David Tracy is seeking election to the King County Southeast District Court Position 6. It is essential that money not influence decisions made by the bench. Decisions issued by the court should be based solely on the law and not influenced from other side sources.
Recently, a complaint has been filed with the Public Disclosure Commission against a special interest group known as the “Citizens for Judicial Excellence.” The complaint claims “the group recruited candidates, coordinated with their campaigns, promised financial support, and provided campaign assistance without reporting expenditures.” The “Citizens for Judicial Excellence” is somewhat of an oxymoron, as this group for the most part is composed of defense attorneys for drunk drivers who want to tilt the table in their direction. They should keep their money out of the pockets of our judicial candidates. The appearance to attempt to influence the judiciary is alarming. Citizens for Judicial Excellence is funding the opponent to David Tracy in this King County District Court Southeast Position 6.
Please cast your ballot to elect David Tracy to the King County District Court Southeast Position 6. David Tracy will base his decisions on the law and he will not be influence from outside sources, nor special interest money.
