A 22-year-old man, originally from Sudan in Africa, was shot and killed in Skyway early Saturday morning, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is still at large, according to Sgt. John Urquhart, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. Two other people were wounded by the gunfire, according to Urquhart.

The man has been identified as Paljor B. Thong, 22, whose last known address was in Kennewick.

He died of a gunshot wound of the torso, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Thong died at the scene; the two other men had non-life-threatening injuries, according to Urquhart. One was treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the other declined hospital treatment, he said.

The incident occurred at about 2:10 a.m., when a disturbance broke out in the Afriq Restaurant & Lounge, 12619 Renton Ave. S., according to Urquhart. The dispute spilled out into the parking lot and street and several shots were fired by one suspect, according to Urquhart.

A fourth man originally claimed to have been shot, according to Urquhart, but he was severely cut after he put his arm through the plate class window of a neighboring business.

The suspect fled in a red car. He has not been identified and the weapon used was not recovered, Urquhart said.
