The following information was compiled based on City of Renton police reports. Two employees of a pawn shop got into a physical fight on Nov. 8 The two were working at the shop on Rainier Avenue South when the fight broke out at about 1:41 p.m.

Two employees of a pawn shop got into a physical fight on Nov. 8

The two were working at the shop on Rainier Avenue South when the fight broke out at about 1:41 p.m.

A 33-year-old male reported that a co-worker assaulted him after a verbal argument. The man was discussing something “trivial” with the 29-year-old suspect when he was knocked to the floor and kicked repeatedly.

The suspect left the scene in a newer white Chrysler 300.

On Nov. 9, police confronted the suspect at the store and arrested him for investigation of fourth-degree assault.

 

White powder found in mail

A suspicious white powder turned up in the mail at a bank distribution facility in Renton on Nov. 10.

Police investigated a report of white powder found in a mail envelop sent to a US Bank distribution facility at 2500 East Valley Road.

Renton Fire were called for possible pick up of a hazardous material. U.S. Postal inspectors also came. The unknown substance wasn’t hazardous, they determined.

 

Man arrrested for harassment

A Renton man was arrested for investigation of harassment and malicious mischief on Nov. 12 in the 10400 block of Southeast 174th Street.

Police encountered a man who smelled of liquor being loud and confrontational at the apartment at about 7:30 p.m. The man also had blood on his knuckles from an injury. The 46-year-old man had punched a hole in the apartment wall. He was apparently angry because “his girl” was gone and he didn’t know where she went.

Police arrested the man for damaging property at the apartment and harassing a woman there.
