King County Metro will move to their summer schedule on Saturday and that means some changes to routes throughout the region, including the RapidRide F Line that serves Renton.
Other Routes that will have revisions or changes are: 4, 8, 48, 64E, 73, 111, 114, 118, 119, 200, 238, 245, 246 303, and 312.
According to the METRO website, from early June until about mid-September, the RapidRide F Line will operate between The Landing and the Renton Transit Center via North Eighth Street, Park Avenue North, Bronson Way South and South Second Street.
The F Line will not operate on Logan Avenue North between North Eighth Street and South Second Street.
The bus stop southbound on Logan Ave North, just north of North Sixth Street, will be closed during this time. The bus stop southbound on Park Avenue North, just south of North Sixth Street, will be the only bus stop served by the F Line between North Eighth and South Second Streets.
Northbound F Line service to The Landing is unaffected by this change and will continue to operate on Logan Avenue North as usual.
New blue timetables also are available on buses and at Metro customer service offices. Detailed route revisions are posted online in button format and list format. Electronic schedules will be posted online Friday, June 5.
Until then, using a travel date of June 6 or later, riders can plan trips online in order to preview updated schedule information.
“We are adding transit service our customers have needed for some time as the region’s economy has grown and we’ve experienced record ridership,” Metro Transit General Manager Kevin Desmond said in a press release. “More is needed and we will continue to deliver with this round and future rounds of improvements.”
The changes are part of King County Metro’s regular June service change and include expanded transit service under a new contract with the city of Seattle.
