The Kiwanis Club of Renton this past week awarded scholarships to seven local high school seniors.
The recipients of this year’s college scholarships are : Connor Broughton (Hazen), Tudi Le (Hazen), Sarah Sherrod (Hazen), Edgar Cetino, Jr. (Renton), Crystal Tran (Secondary Learning Center), Emily Yoshioka (Renton), and Lisa Lai (Lindbergh), seen in the photo with Kiwanis President Sue Owens and Renton Schol District Assistant Superintendent Finance and Operations John Knutson.
After a unanimous vote, Renton City Councilmember Ed Prince was elected to the Renton Regional Fire Authority Governance Board.
The judge said no sentence could erase the family’s pain.
A press release from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife states that the boy was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and was released from the hospital following treatment.
