Three renton-area students receive comcast grants

Three Renton-area students have been recognized by the Comcast Leaders and Achievers™ program with a $1,000 grant from The Comcast Foundation, which was founded in 1999 to provide charitable support to its local communities and to empower and enrich lives.

The winners are:

• Anthony Le, Charles A. Lindbergh High School, plans to attend the University of Washington.

• Lorilyn Roller, Oliver M. Hazen High School, plans to attend the University of Washington.

• Alex Bell, Liberty High School, plans to attend the University of Southern California.

Winners were awarded this scholarship based on their demonstration of service and leadership. All three of these students were active in their communities and schools, donating hundreds of hours of time each to groups and organizations around their area.
