Looks it will be another wet weekend in Renton and around the Puget Sound region.
According to the National Weather Service, rain was expected to move into the area Friday as a cold front settles over our area, bringing rain in the lowlands and even the possibility of spring snow to the mountains and passes.
More than six inches of the white stuff is expected in the mountains this weekend.
Closer to home, it will be a bit warmer, meaning showers are likely – 80 percent chance – today, Saturday and again tomorrow.
Highs today will be around 51, dropping to lows in the low-40s overnight. There is also the possibility of a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening.
The pattern repeats Sunday with showers and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low-50s, dropping into the low-40s overnight.
The rain is expected to continue into Monday morning’s commute with highs in the mid 50s, though there is hope for partly sunny skies on Tuesday.
