Under sunny skies, a “comfortable” turnout attended the 10th annual Harvest Festival and Business Expo at the Piazza in Renton last weekend.
About 3,000 people, including about 400 children, attended the fall festival according to organizers.
“Oh, it was wonderful,” said Linda Middlebrooks, president of Piazza Renton. “I did a lot of praying about the weather and it worked, look at the sky,” she said Saturday afternoon.
Children decorated pumpkins, festival goers perused retail and business booths and some even got a dance lesson from a Spotlight Dance instructor.
They were hoping for a larger attendance, said Middlebrooks, but the vendors said they were happy and the dance lesson attracted a lot of people.
“Everybody seems to be quite relaxed,” she said. “I don’t know if we quite got what we wanted, but it’s very comfortable.”
