BECU presented a check for $1,800 Thursday to the Salvation Army Renton Corps as part of the grand opening of its new Neighborhood Financial Center on Benson Hill.
Alan Seiler, manager of BECU’s Benson location, presented a check to Salvation Army Capt. Chris Aird for $1,800 to support the corps’ housing and homeless efforts in the Renton community.
The new Neighborhood Financial Center is at 17615 108th Ave. S.E., at the corner of Southeast Carr Road and 108th Avenue Southeast.
The new 2,000-square-foot location has four consultant desks, two ATMs with 24-hour access and two online banking kiosks to better serve members.
BECU’s new Benson location is staffed 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
“Historically, BECU was open only to Boeing employees and their families. Now anyone in the state is eligible to join, and this new location will allow us to continue to grow within the Renton community,” said Seiler.
