DRW Unplugged: Battle of the Acoustic Bands

To celebrate one year in downtown Renton, Drum Roll Wine hosted a local live music competition.

To celebrate a year since Drum Roll Wine opened its doors in downtown Renton, the wine bar hosted a Battle of the Acoustic Bands, where patrons could enjoy low-key live music and local wine.

Eight musical acts performed to the packed house, which was co-produced by WARM Sound Exchange, including Harmonic Majors, Kyu, Daniel Hathaway, Lachlan, Leah Jean, Sarah Not Sara, Zack Pass and Ska-T.

The winner was Renton singer Sarah Not Sarah, who received a $300 prize, a $50 Macadons gift card, a gift package from Diablo Guitars, a six-pack of Drum Roll Wine and an opening slot at the Oct. 19 Drum Roll Wine After Hours concert.

Second place went to Zach Pass of Spokane, who won a $200 prize, a $30 gift card from Macadons, a gift package from Diablo Guitars and a three-pack of Drum Roll Wine.

The youngest of the contestants was Kyu of Seattle, who rounded up the winners circle. Kyu recieved a $100 prize, a $20 gift card from Macadons, a gift package from Diablo Guitars and a bottle of Drum Roll Wine for winning third place.

Drum Roll Wine is located at 911 South 3rd Street in Renton.
