First Savings Bank Northwest senior vice president to retire

Robert H. Gagnier, senior vice president – chief lending administration officer for the Renton-based First Savings Bank Northwest, will retire at year’s end after nearly 24 years with the bank.

“Bob has been an important contributor in First Savings Bank Northwest’s growth over the past quarter of a century, from $142 million in assets, when he started in 1986, to $1.3 billion today,” said Victor Karpiak, Chairman, president and CEO.

The bank will have refreshments in the bank’s lobby, 201 Wells Ave. S. Dec. 29-31, to celebrate Gagnier’s retirement

“It has been a very fulfilling career at First Savings Bank Northwest and an exciting time to be a part of a growing and successful community bank.” said Gagnier of Renton.

“After a 35-year career in banking I plan to enjoy the freedom of retirement,” he said.

Gagnier is past chairman of the Renton Chamber of Commerce.
