AAA Washington is kicking off its new “Soap for Hope” donation drive to collect toiletry items and distribute them to persons in need via local shelters, food banks and other charitable organizations.

Donations may be dropped off at the AAA Renton office, 3900 E. Valley Hwy., Suite 105. Donations made at the Renton office will benefit the Auburn Food Bank.

The Soap for Hope campaign especially encourages travelers that end up with a collection of unused sample-sized shampoos, conditioners, lotions and soaps to bring them to their local AAA office for distribution to those in need of such items.

Toiletry items, such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste and deodorant will be accepted at all AAA locations, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Unopened, travel- and full-size items will be accepted.
