The deadline is fast approaching to vote for the top birth centers and midwives clinics in the Seattle area.

The Birth Center and The Midwives Clinic at Valley Medical Center have been selected as finalists in Red Tricycle’s “Totally Awesome Awards.” More 20,000 nominations were cast by moms and dads in the greater Seattle area over a four-week period to determine the finalists.

Voting ends on Friday, Oct. 14. The businesses in each category with the most votes will be selected as the winners.

VMC’s Birth Center is in the running for  the “Most Awesome Place to Give Birth.” More than 4,000 babies are born each year at Valley Medical.

Valley’s Midwives Clinic is in the running for  the “Most Awesome Midwives & Doulas” category. Valley Midwives celebrated its fifth anniversary on Labor Day. Nearly 1,700 babies have been born at the clinic.
