It was noted on the Fairwood Municipal Initiative Web site that the attempt to incorporate the area of Fairwood into a city had once again failed. They went on to point out that there would not be an opportunity to make another attempt to incorporate, because Renton was targeting to annex the Fairwood area into the city limits of Renton. This could be nothing but false.

1. Renton doesn’t request or approach areas on annexing into Renton.

2. The attempt to annex to Renton has come from within the area by a citizens group from the area requesting to be annexed to Renton.

3. Either a vote or petition have to show that the majority of the area citizens have to be interested in annexing to is approve of the annexation.
