To the editor:

Fred Jarrett has been working in public service for 30 years, as a school board member, a city mayor, a state representative and now a state senator. At the same time, he has been working in a series of progressive management positions for the Boeing Co. Fred is now bringing these great experiences together to be the best-qualified candidate for King County executive.

Fred is smart, hard working and a great communicator. And he has the temperament and the ideas to be an outstanding leader. I have had the pleasure of working with Fred on legislative issues, and he is a very talented legislator. Fred will be a fine county executive, and I urge all of you to vote for Fred in the upcoming primary. Mail your ballot by Aug. 18.
