A  74-year-old Renton man, Sam Humphrey, who was reported to police as missing after he was last seen Sunday, July 8, is safe.

The Renton Police Department learned Monday that Humphrey had  decided to move out of state without notifying anyone in his residential community, said Terri Vickers, a Police Department spokeswoman.

Humphrey left his residential-care facility in Renton at about 5 p.m. on July 8 and didn’t return home.
