The job of the school board is to set policy for the Renton School District and to hire the superintendent. The board is responsible for balancing the needs of all parties, parents, staff and community, to ensure the best education for RSD’s 14,000-plus students. As former parents and continuing supporters of Renton schools, we want a director who focuses on what’s best for the larger community and who can make tough, sometimes unpopular, choices.

Pam Teal is known throughout the school district as a respected leader, a consensus builder who is open minded, fair, looking at the “Big Picture,” which does the most good for the most people. Pam is an inspiring leader, calm and thoughtful, who truly cares for every child in the RSD. Pam practices what she preaches; she walks the talk; she leads by example.
