Thank you to the Renton Reporter (“West Hill is full of economic promise,” Renton Reporter, Nov. 5, 2010) for the exploration of economic opportunity in the Skyway area and giving voice to the business community. The Reporter’s most recent print-version profile of West Hill attributed a statement that needs correcting. I did not say that West Hill was poised to gentrify; I did say that Skyway business district had potential to excel, there was a strong upside to the residential housing market, and West Hill could see some of the transformation that has been seen in some Seattle neighborhoods which both reflects the strong community voice and allows the community’s revitalization agenda to be realized.
