Kids ages 5-14 will have a chance this weekend to grab a rod and reel and experience what it’s like to reel in a fish at the annual Fishing Kids Derby at Gene Coulon Memorial Park.

The event, sponsored in part by the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation, gives children the opportunity to experience the fun of the fishing by stocking a pen with fish near the boat launch at the park.

Each child will receive a T-shirt and a Zebco Rod & Reel.

There are multiple sessions throughout the morning beginning at 9 a.m. and cost is $10 per session.
