Country music legend Hank Williams, Jr. to perform at State Fair on Sept. 16

Pre-sale tickets on sale March 22, general public March 25

The Washington State Fair welcomes Hank Williams, Jr. with special guest The Cadillac Three on Saturday, Sept. 16, part of the Columbia Bank Concert Series.

Williams, the only son of the late legendary Hank Williams, said he didn’t have a career choice. He knew he’d grow up to be a singer. He made his own success, after a 20-year struggle to break the mold and create his own sound.

When he finally found that sound and his own style, he reached sales plateaus including: 20 gold albums, six platinum albums (one of which has sold more than 5 million copies) and 13 chart-topping albums. He has been selling out massive venues for a longer period of time than his father spent on Earth. He has done more than honor his father’s legacy; he has extended, enriched, enhanced and elevated it.

“My name’s a reminder of a blues man that’s already gone,” he once sang.

The Cadillac Threeis rapidly becoming known for their high-energy shows and gritty musical instincts. With opening slots on Superstar tours and sold-out stops across Europe, the trio of Nashville natives were named the UK Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards “Best New Band”and one of the “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” by Rolling Stone Country.
