Renton is kicking off its Moonlight Movies in the Park event with River Days July 23.
In memory of outdoor theaters, the Renton tradition shows free movies at night in the park.
Open seating begins at 7 p.m. and the show starts at dusk.
The location jumps around through July and August, but three of the five shows are at Liberty Park in the baseball field.
All of the shows are free with the exception of Aug. 20, which is playing at the Henry Moses Aquatic Center. Visitors can float on inner tubes in the lap pool while they watch the movie.
Alcohol is banned at Renton parks but feel free to bring snacks.
Blankets and low-back lawn chairs are allowed in the front viewing section, while taller chairs can be used in the back.
The Golf Club at Newcastle is also hosting two free movies, with the added bonus of a gorgeous hilltop view.
