Liberty High School will present the tongue-in-cheek romantic comedy “Kiss Me Quick Before the Lava Reaches the Village.”

The musical takes place in in Patience, Nebraska, in 1941. Dottie Rogers dreams of being more than the local “Goodie Girl.” Her father, the conservative minister and mayor of the town, is out-of-touch with his young daughter’s inner life.

The performance schedule is 7:30 p.m. April 17-18 , 7:30 p.m. April 23-24 and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. April 25 at the Liberty High School Auditorium, 16655 S.E. 136th St., Renton.
