Lineup in place for fourth Annual Art and Antique Walk downtown on Aug. 22.

Two spheres of art activities will greet walkers Saturday, Aug. 22, at the fourth Annual Art and Antique Walk in downtown Renton sponsored by Arts Unlimited.

Other major sponsors are Allied Arts, King and Bunny Appliances, Renton Magazine, Renton Reporter, Renton Arts Commission and Team Runge Real Estate.

The 300 block of South Third Street will center on Bob McCorkle’s parking lot with outdoor activities, including:

• a petting farm of Panamichi Alpacas

• polished rock products, Ron Houser.

• African masks and antiques, Barry Vischer

• photography by Marcia Mueller and Marian Grayson

• outdoor sculpture, Lance Carleton

• pottery by Gary Schmelebeck

• Dan “The Monster Man” Reeder

• Lithographs, Susan Fakkeme.

• Inside displays of Northwest artists, such as Doug Kyes and Ned Mueller. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to Allied Arts to purchase art for Renton.

DJ music will be furnished by Brian Larson and Kimball and the Fugitives will present live blues, jazz, rock and roll in the afternoon.

Also, in this sphere there will be a robotics demonstration at Lee’s Martial Arts by Franklin High students; two artists, Bob Bryant and Mike Ferguson at L.A. Frames; artists Lori Tegan at Thoughts LLC; Robert Horton at EP Premiums and Incentives.

Viking Sewing & Vacuum Centers will cover the walls with quilts and offer art for sewing machine carrying cases.

At South Third Street and Wells Avenue South, Arts Unlimited will have its information booth and there will be a display of art by Renton school students from the Reflections program.

In front of LaHacienda Family Restaurant on South Third Street will be artists Richard Jahn, Patrice Colvin, David Jayne, Jim Matthews and Orenda Ayashe.

Mroczek Brothers Auctioneers & Associates will again feature a wide range of art masters.

Antique stores on Third Avenue such as Antique Country Station, Black Chow Antiques, Girlfriend’s Antiques, the new Cedar Chest Antiques and around the corner on Wells Avenue the St. Charles Place Antiques and Restorations will all welcome artists, including Darlene Dihel, Laura Sch and Amy Geise.

Other participating businesses on Wells are Ginger’s Klosett, Reldrays’ Unique Hair Design and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Also on Third Avenue are, so far, happy delusions, Liberty Cafe, Yoggi Frozen Yogurt, Cafe Lure/Calico//Tapestry, D.C.’s Bar and Grill and the Comic Den The popular student cut-out artist, Wil Kerner, will again appear at Common Ground Espresso & Cupcakes.

The Walk area has been tightened to concentrate along Third Avenue and Wells, says Ryan Runge, co-founder of Arts Unlimited. However, Fin N Bone restaurant, a block away, will feature artist Don Haggerty with 10 percent of sale proceeds going to the Allied Arts fundraiser.
