Dozens of people of all ages lined up outside the Comic Hut in downtown Renton on May 2 to be the first ones into the store on the annual International Free Comic Book Day.

Since 2002, comic book publishers and shops all across the world have offered special, free comics on the first Saturday in May.

This year, special editions of the Avengers, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Tick, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and a preview of Fight Club 2 were among the offerings. Shoppers were encouraged to take any two of the free books, and have a look around the store, of course.
