Several of the glass blowing artists who used to be housed at Uptown Glassworks Dowtown have started their own local studio called Renton Art and Glass Studio.

This weekend, they are hosting a grand opening celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the new space, 211 S.E. 41st St.

There will be demonstration and a make-your-own-glass pendant station, as well as refreshments.
