Petra Sovcovova of Renton acts, sings and dances the role of the Widow Corney in Seattle Theatre Group’s presentation of a Lyric Opera Northwest production of the Broadway musical “Oliver!” at the Moore Theatre.
The show is one night only, 4 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 17).
The musical is accompanied by a full orchestra, featuring 20 of the greater Seattle area’s most talented children, and including dancers and singers from Broadway and operatic traditions.
In the past year Sovcovova has performed the roles of Micaela from Bizet’s “Carmen;” Musetta and Mimi from Puccini’s “La bohème;” Rosina from Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Liu from Puccini’s “Turandot.”
The musical is based on Charles Dickens’ novel “Oliver Twist.”
