‘The Rocky Horror Show’ opens next week at Renton Civic Theatre

The musical tells the tale of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror.

The Renton Civic Theatre presents The Rocky Horror Show, directed by Alan Wilkie, opening Oct. 17 and running through Nov. 1.

The show is a humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B-movies of the late 1940s through the early 1970s. The musical tells the tale of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror.

The musical has since developed a cult following and was also adapted into the 1975 film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

This show is rated PG-13 for strong language and content.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors. For a complete list of showtimes or to buy tickets, visit www.rentoncivictheatre.com
