Café Vets: Monthly gathering of veterans and guests for coffee and refreshments hosted by Renton American Legion Post 19 and Auxiliary Unit 19 on the third Thursday of every month (except December) from 10 a.m. to noon. Recycling Event at Renton Technical College: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., drop off your mattresses, box springs, cardboard, poystyrene foam and tires for proper recycling and disposal. The following items will be accepted: foam packing peanuts and bubble wrap (bagged packing peanuts accepted), clean white blocks (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol); documents for shredding, no binders, plastics or discs, np ID badges or driver’s licenses, no cardboard or hard cover books. At each event non-perishable food donations will be accepted to help the food bank.
