3,000 participate in the Seahawks 12K run at The Landing Sunday

About 3,000 runners and walkers participated in the Seahawks 12k Run at The Landing Sunday through The Landing, North Renton – and the Seahawks’ headquarters.

Last year, there were about 2,000 participants and next year – the third annual event – that number is expected to grow to about 5,000.

Besides the 12K, the events included a 5K run/walk, a non-competitive Seahawks Play 60 Kids Run, appearances from members of the Seahawks organization and family friendly activities for all ages.

Proceeds for the event will benefit the Renton Skyway Boys and Girls Club.
