The 53rd session of the Renton Police Department’s Citizen’s Academy begins Sept. 11. The academy will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays for 12 weeks.

Classes include: Patrol operations, SWAT, hostage negotiations, investigations, K9 and more. There will also be a tour of the jail and communications center, and a ride-along with a patrol officer.
