Domestic assault: Officers responded on Sept. 3 at around 12 a.m. to a domestic disturbance between two roommates. A woman stated to officers that her roommate assaulted her, resulting in visible injuries. According to the department, the suspect fled prior to the arrival of officers. Medics cleared the woman at the scene.

Accidental shooting death: Renton police responded to an accidental shooting in the 12600 block of Petrovitsky Road at 11:46 p.m. Sept. 8. According to the department, a witness reported her ex-boyfriend claimed his gun was not loaded, pointed the gun at his head, and pulled the trigger. “There was a bullet in the chamber, and he died at the scene,” according to the department.
