National Pancake Day may have been March 8, but there’s good news for seniors who may have missed it: The Knights of Columbus Renton Councils is hosting its 31st annual Pancake Breakfast this Saturday morning at the Renton Senior Activity Center.
The Knights’ breakfast will feature pancakes, eggs, sausages, fruit and assorted beverages. The breakfast honors seniors for the many ways they contribute to making Renton a great community to live.
Knights of Columbus volunteers from St. Anthony and St. Stephen the Martyr Parishes prepare and serve the food. Boys Scouts from St. Anthony Council also help out.
“We’ve been doing this breakfast as part of our mission to serve the community for 31 years,” Miguel Quiroz, Grand Knight of the Knights of Council at St. Anthony Parish said in an email. “We think Renton seniors are special people.”
Dan Kellogg, longtime Estate Attorney in Renton and Kent, contributed funding for the food for the event and has done so for the prior four years. The Knights of Columbus thanks him for this support.
Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 18 at the Renton Senior Activity Center, 211 Burnett Ave. N.
