The King County Prosecutor’s Office has postponed Monday’s arraignment of the Renton man accused of murdering Jessica Scholl, because the suspect hasn’t yet returned to Washington from Oklahoma City.
Jarod Thomas Lane, 19, was charged with first-degree murder in Scholl’s death on May 25 and first-degree arson in the fire that damaged the Scholl home near Lindbergh High School, where Scholl, 17, was a junior.
A new arraignment date has not been set. Lane remains in custody on $2 million bail.
Lane waived extradition from Oklahoma, but arrangements for his transfer are still pending.
Lane was arrested May 28 in Oklahoma after fleeing Washington state.
