Assault by ex-husband | Renton police blotter

Assault: Renton police officers responded on Aug. 17 just before 9 p.m. to a physical assault in the 300 block of Renton Center Southwest. According to the department, a woman stated to police that two unknown individuals hit her multiple times. Medics evaluated and cleared the woman at the scene. Detectives continue efforts to identify the unknown individuals.

Strong-arm robbery: Renton police officers received a report on Aug. 17 over the phone for a robbery that occurred in the 2100 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard. According to the department, the reporting party stated that on the previous night, Aug. 16, two unknown individuals approached him at around 10:30 p.m. in the area. The reporting party stated that one of the individuals choked him as the other attempted to take his personal belongings. According to the department, the reporting party was unable to provide any information regarding the two individuals.

Domestic violence: Renton police officers responded on Aug. 12 at around 9 a.m. to a malicious mischief report in the 2300 block of Northeast 4th Street. According to the department, a woman stated her ex-husband destroyed her apartment and personal items two days prior. At 11:30 a.m., officers returned to the location for a report of a domestic disturbance. The woman reported her ex-husband returned and assaulted her. The woman headed to the hospital for treatment. Police did not locate the suspect at the time.
