Author Mark Winne will speak about “Closing the Food Gap” at 3 p.m. Saturday at Carco Theater.
His lecture is part of the observance of the Renton History Museum’s hosting of the Smithsonian Institute’s “Key Ingredients – America by Food” traveling exhibit.
Winne explores food inequity in the United States and will suggest some solutions. He will sign his book, “Closing the Food Gap: Resetting the Table in the Land of Plenty,” after the talk.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, or free with a food item for the Renton Rotary Salvation Army Food Bank.
The lecture is sponsored by the Renton History Museum. Carco is at 1717 Maple Valley Highway in Cedar River Park.
