Due to an overwhelming number of minor weather related crashes throughout the city, the Renton Police Department will not respond to reports of minor collisions or fender benders until conditions improve, according to the City of Renton.

Drivers involved in minor collisions are reminded to exchange vehicle registration, driver’s license and insurance information. The Renton Police Department will continue to respond to reports of blocking collisions, extensive damage or (any) injury crashes, and/or heated disputes between parties.

The Renton Police Department also reminds drivers of their responsibility to safely remove stranded vehicles from roadways, and not to abandon their vehicles in locations that impede navigation. When conditions allow the Renton Police Department will tow and impound all abandoned vehicles found in roadways.
