Several police responded to a false hold-up alarm at the downtown Bank of America Thursday around noon, said a Renton Police Department deputy chief.
It was business as usual at the bank, but the large response made officers visible from a few blocks away.
“It’s common for us to have quite a few police units there on holdup alarms,” said deputy chief Tim Troxel.
The onsite manager didn’t know how the alarm was set off, he said.
The bank is at 300 Burnett Ave. S. in Renton near The Piazza.
