A body was found in the Cedar River early Sunday afternoon about a mile upriver from the Interstate 405 overpass, according to the Renton Police Department.
The discovery by two teenagers walking in the river in the 3400 block of Southeast Seventh Street was reported to police at about 1:20 p.m.
Due to the condition of the body, no identification has been made, nor is the race and sex of the body known. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office is continuing its investigation and was performing an autopsy Monday morning.
