Peeping Tom landlord

Renton police dispatched on June 18 at approximately 6:54 p.m. to report of a domestic violence incident with a weapon in the 600 block of Stevens Avenue Northwest.

The reporting party advised police that his roommate had assaulted other members of the household, bit the reporting party’s hand, and threatened the reporting party with a knife.

The roommate was reported to be alone in his room with the knife while the other members of the house were in the backyard.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party, his family member, and a friend, observing that all three had various injuries and blood on their clothes.

The three victims reported that they all lived at the house and that the suspect was the owner of the property and their landlord.

It was reported by all three victims that the landlord had drilled holes into the laundry room wall, which would allow a visual into a woman’s bedroom next to it.

The three victims confronted the suspect about the holes drilled into the wall, with the confrontation escalating to physical assault after the suspect punched one of the roommates in the face. The three victims continued to be assaulted as they attempted to push the suspect into his room.

The suspect then grabbed a machete from his room and began swinging it at the three victims. No injuries resulted from the machete attack.

The victims left the house and called the police, with the suspect locking himself in the laundry room with his brother and the machete. The suspect and his brother exited out of a window and began to walk away from the scene as law enforcement arrived. The victims pointed the suspect out to the officers, who arrested him.

Law enforcement determined probable cause for three counts of assault in the second degree and transported him to the King County Jail without further incident. It was later discovered the landlord had pictures of one of the women sleeping on his phone.

The victim yelled back, flipped the officers off again, and continued to walk away. As the victim refused aid, the second call was cleared.

At 2:30 a.m. the victim called back and reported that he was having an anxiety attack and bleeding from his chest. The victim specified that he did not want contact from the police department.

The fire department requested that Renton police go first and make sure the scene was safe before they contacted the victim.

An officer arrived on scene and parked their vehicle a short distance away from the victim. The victim appeared calm and was not walking away from the lone officer.

Fire was notified that it was safe for them to respond and they arrived and provided treatment to the man. As the fire department treated the man, officers observed a stab wound on the victim’s upper chest.

The victim provided a summary of what occurred and advised he was at a bar and grill located in the 300 block of Williams Avenue South, when the bouncers wouldn’t let him into the business and he became upset.

An argument resulted and the bouncer stabbed the victim in the chest, the victim advised police. Officers stopped by the bar and grill and the staff members reported the argument was only verbal. The victim would not cooperate further with the department and did not want to make a report.

First responders transported the victim to Valley Medical Center.

The victim was unable to describe what type of vehicle the suspects drove as it was parked far away and dizziness following the assault. The victim was unable to thoroughly describe the suspects and told police he would not be able to identify any of the suspects if he saw them again.

The victim told officers of a previous cash robbery at the same residence that went unreported. According to the department, this could indicate he has been targeted based on his casino trips.
