Carnation man elected to conservation district board

Preston Drew of Carnation has been elected to a three-year term as a member of the King Conservation District board of supervisors following a final canvassing of votes cast in the district-wide election March 19.

The unofficial election results will be certified by the Washington Conservation Commission at its May 21 business meeting. The final vote tallies for elected board position No. 3 included Preston Drew (1,357 votes); David Mauk of Carnation (175 votes); and write-in candidate Mark Sollitto of Seattle (1,199 votes).
