Cedar Hills community meeting is April 6

King County will meet with neighbors of its Cedar Hills Regional Landfill April 6 to keep them updated with landfill activities and to give them a chance to provide feedback.

The King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks’ Solid Waste Division will host the next Cedar Hills Regional Landfill community meeting 7-9 p.m. at the King County Library Service Center, 960 Newport Way NW, Issaquah.

Meeting topics include:

• A proposed new format for community meetings;

• An update on operational activities, plus construction and environmental management activities at the landfill; and

• An update on Bio Energy Washington’s landfill gas-to-energy plant.

The Cedar Hills Regional Landfill community meetings provide an ongoing forum for area residents and King County Solid Waste Division staff to discuss conditions and activities at the landfill.
