City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday

On the agenda is a special presentation regarding the one night count of the homeless and the severe weather shelter.

The Renton City Council is scheduled to meet for its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers at City  Hall.

On the agenda is a special presentation regarding the one night count of the homeless and the severe weather shelter.

The consent agenda also includes several items, including setting a public meeting to consider pro and con testimony for taking a position on the proposed 2014-2019 EMS levy rate and ballot measure as well as several interlocal agreements and a recommendation from the executive department to change the number of arts commissioners from 12 to 13.

UNfinished business includes a report from the finance committee on an increase in police patrol vehicles and assignments and the 2012 urban forestry grant, as well as a discussion of smart mater installations from the utilities committee.

The meeting will be proceeded by a committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. during which the council is scheduled to discuss the annual insurance review.

City council meetings are television live on Government Access Channel 21 and are rebroadcast at 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and 1 and 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
