The city of Renton hosted a public hearing/open house on the Energize Eastside Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Renton City Hall.
There is also a public hearing/open house scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Newcastle Elementary School.
PSE is collecting public comment on the plan, which will increase the capacity of power transmission lines along the Eastside through the replacement and upgrade of the current system, through March 14.
According to the company’s website, each public hearing will begin with an open house, followed by a short presentation and an oral comment period. The public comment period will begin 45 minutes after the start of the public hearing. The order of speakers will be chosen at random.

THIS POST HAS BEEN CORRECTED: Due to a misunderstanding it was originally reported that PSE was hosting this series of public hearings and open houses. The individual cities are actually hosting the events and the website featuring a copy of the draft EIS is not a PSE-related site.
