City to change passport processing procedures and location beginning March 1

The Municipal Court Clerk's Office expects to take between 30-40 passport appointments per day, and will expand the hours if needed.

Beginning March 1, passport processing at Renton City Hall will move to the Municipal Court Clerk’s Office located on the third floor. As a part of this change, passport processing will be conducted by appointment only, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The Municipal Court Clerk’s Office expects to take between 30-40 passport appointments per day, and will expand the hours if needed.

The City of Renton became a Passport Acceptance Facility in May of 2003. This allows the city to assist with applications for a US passport, though the decision to issue or deny a passport is made by a US Department of State Passport Agency, not the City of Renton.
