The city of Renton will host a fan party and rally this Thursday to cheer on the Seahawks before their home opener this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
Mayor Denis Law will be on hand at 12:12 p.m. Sept. 12 to raise a 12th Man flag over Renton City Hall and the public is invited to join and show support for the team at the beginning of what many hope will be a historic season for the franchise.
The party begins at 11:30 a.m. with free hot dogs, Seahawks cheer cards, special guests, including Seahawks guests and alumni, and members of the Sea Gals and Blue Thunder Marching Band.
Team mascot Blitz is also expected to make an appearance.
Fans are instructed to bring their “12th Man Spirit” and invited to wear their best Seahawks-inspired costume in a costume contest.
